In addition to traveling the State nearly every day in connection with his profession, Mr.
McCracken, a life-long resident of West Virginia, is active in many local and State historical and literary activities.
For three years he portrayed Albert Felts in the bi-anual re-enactment of the MATEWAN MASSACRE
in Matewan W.V.
He serves part-time on the St. Albans Hisorical Society, specializing in the preservation
and duplication of photographic material.
Mr. McCracken has also contributed articles and other written works to both the St. Albans
Community News and the FREESTYLE section of The Charleston Gazette.
Although not his first literary endevor, THE HOSPITAL series are Mr. McCracken's
first published works.
